Breakfast, lunch, AND dinner. Three meals a day feels like a LOT to prepare when you have little ones doesn’t it? Oftentimes the breakfast dishes are barely cleaned up by the time lunch time rolls around. So I scramble to clean up while throwing a quick meal on the table. Other days we’re out running errands and within about 30 seconds my sweet kiddos turn incredibly “hangry” and if I don’t get food in their tummies fast, meltdown mode is just around the corner.I think through where we could stop for a quick bite to eat that I’d feel good about. And of course wherever it is needs to have a drive-thru because bringing four kids three and under into a restaurant at this point is like walking into an ambush. Recently, I was reminded of an option that’s been there all along. It’s a place that just debuted their Popcorn Chicken Nuggets. They are double breaded and crispy, just like my kids like them, BUT they are also 100% white meat. They are never formed or pressed into shapes like the competition. Where can you have a “Nugget-vention” like I did? KFC!

Yep, the other day we visited our local KFC, and I was able to order Popcorn Nuggets that I didn’t feel guilty about. And you know what? My kids LOVED them. They are truly perfect for busy moms and parents seeking 100% white meat chicken and the crispy crunch that our kids love.

KFC Meal

The whole experience at KFC was a great one. We called ahead when we were on the way, and by the time we arrived we simply had to pull up to the drive thru and picked up our meal within a couple minutes. A few minutes later, we were home with a meal that everybody was excited about.

KFC Emmy

My kids DEVOURED them. One thing I really liked about them were their size. They were bite-sized, and very easy for my kids to pick up and pop in their mouths. I also loved that I was able to order green beans to serve with them, and that my husband and I were able to order their grilled chicken which was delicious too.

KFC Mack and Bay

If you have a KFC near you, I’d definitely choose them over the competition the next time you’re out and about and need a quick meal for your kiddos. They don’t come with a toy, but you won’t even care!

When do you find yourself stopping for chicken nuggets? Tell me in the comments.

I (and Josie) love Chic-Fil-a nuggets! They are small and I feel like the chicken is better in them! It helps that I love their sandwiches too! The kids meal has a fruit cup choice and usually the ‘toy’ is a book!!

I think you’re an AMAZING mother but I don’t even know where to begin when explaining how bad KFC is for your precious children.

Feeding them fried, MSG filled, saturated fat filled, hydrogenated oil, hormone injected “chicken” is only going to be detrimental on your child’s health.

Here are a few examples of KFCs ingredients:
    1. Maltodextrin: This version of sugar added to KFC recipes suppresses the immune function of the body and leads to diabetes. This can also potentially cause addiction to KFC products.
2 The chicken: The chickens are provided with no room to move and are deprived of sun. They are fed the cheapest quality of grain (including newspaper and cardboard), a lot of antibiotics and hormones to accelerate their growth. They are thus deformed and ill. Also, all of the chemicals, newspaper, cardboard and medicines are injected into the food chain and make their way into your body!
    3. MSG The infamous MSG is no stranger to many folks. Many food manufacturers including KFC use MSG (Also known as Ajinomoto in Mauritius) as a flavor magnifier. Sounds great. The only problem being that in addition to flavor enhancing, it also kills brain cells and dumbs you down. It acts quickly and is not good for you.

I could continue going, but you get the idea. As I mother myself I feel the need to let you know ….. Something as simple as a PB & J with natural peanut butter and whole wheat bread is considered a well balanced meal and covers all the nutrition needed for a growing child. Throw in a banana why not! Thats easy to make too right?… I would be happy to share easy healthy cheap recipes!! But be careful what you feed your precious children. They are what they eat!!

Ypi realise that KFC chickens are actually only 35 day old chicks that have been given growth hormone. I would rather give my child fries.

Thats what Im saying! A french fry may be fried, but at least its from a potato – KFCs “chickens” are hormone and injected, cardboard and newspaper feed — overall, all of the chemicals in the chicken makes its way into your childs body through consumption. What do you think about all of this Amber???
