Good morning! Can you believe it?! TOMORROW is Christmas EVE! Since I always like to keep it real on this blog of mine, I’ll be honest and tell you I’m a last minute shopper. There are a couple of reasons why I feel justified in this. First of all, I’m indecisive because I want to find the PERFECT gift, and if I shop too soon I feel like I’m going to find something else later that I like better! But the biggest reason I’m a last minute shopper is because the minute I buy a present for someone I have to give it to them IMMEDIATELY. I just get too excited to wait until the actual day, so I end up giving it early, and then I feel like I need to get some ELSE for the actual day. Sigh. I have gifting issues.

When JC Penney asked if I’d come in and shop at their store for some last minute Christmas shopping, I said, “Yes! Sign me up! I really need to get that done anyway!”

You guys, I spent an hour in the store, and I left feeling like a new woman. I rarely go shopping anywhere except the grocery store, so to be in a REAL store, with clothes, home goods, beauty products, and a huge kids’ section felt like Christmas morning. It really did.

I spent the majority of my time looking at clothes. I was especially impressed by the brand “Stylus” – they had some super cute stuff including this 3/4 Sleeve Faux-Fur Jacket – how fun would this be to wear out to a New Year’s dinner?

Then I wandered over to the shoe area. I’m always in the market for some new ankle booties, and these ones from a.n.a are darling! I may have sent a picture of these beauties to Jake. 😉

Next I went to look for pajamas for the kids. I wanted to get them each a new pair to wear to bed on Christmas Eve, but was waiting for the right price. After all, shopping for four kids adds up quickly! I was really impressed by the Disney section at Penney’s! They had everything from pajamas to dress up clothes, to toys, to slippers, to shoes! I found these adorable pajamas for my kids, and I can’t wait to pull them out tomorrow night! I got them each for about $7.50! My girls are going to SQUEAL when they see these Frozen night gowns!

And finally, I stopped by the mens’ section and picked up a wallet for Jake because his literally broke in half during our anniversary date this weekend!

For any of you mommas who are last minute shoppers like me, I have to say a visit to JC Penney might just brighten your day too! I bet you’ll find some awesome stuff!

Now I’m off to go buy a few other last minute gifts!

XOXO,

Amber
